Friends & Family Referral Program Terms & Conditions
The Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community Friends & Family Referral Program rewards residents who introduce friends and family to the community.
When an eligible referral results in the successful purchase and closing of a Pineridge Mountain property, the eligible referrer will receive a referral payment equal to 1% of the purchase price before GST, subject to the following terms and conditions.
Who Can Participate
The Friends & Family Referral Program is available to individuals in the Columbia Valley.
Licensed real estate professionals are not eligible to receive payment through the Friends & Family Referral Program. Realtor referrals must be handled separately through Pineridge Mountain's Realtor Referral Program and in accordance with applicable real estate requirements.
How to Make a Referral
To qualify for the program, the referral must be submitted through the official Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community referral form.
The referral must be submitted before the prospective buyer has contacted, registered with or begun working with the Pineridge Mountain sales team.
The referrer must provide their own contact information along with the name and contact information of the person they are referring.
By submitting a referral, the referrer confirms that the referred person is aware that their information is being provided to Pineridge Mountain and has agreed to be contacted.
Referral Approval
All referrals are subject to review and approval by Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community.
A referral will not qualify if the referred person:

Is already registered in the Pineridge Mountain sales database;

Has already contacted or been in communication with the Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community sales team;

Has already toured Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community as a prospective purchaser;

Is already an active prospect or purchaser; or
-
Has already been referred by another eligible participant.
Once a referral has been reviewed and approved, Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community will provide written confirmation that the referral has been registered.
Submitting a referral does not automatically guarantee eligibility for a referral payment.
Duplicate Referrals
If the same prospective buyer is referred by more than one person, the first eligible referral registered with Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community will be considered the qualifying referral.
Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community's records will be used to determine which referral was received first.
Referral Period
An approved referral is valid for three months from the date the referral is registered.
The referred buyer must enter into a written Contract of Purchase and Sale for a Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community property within that three-month period.
The property does not need to close within the three-month referral period. Once an eligible Contract of Purchase and Sale has been entered into within the referral period, the referral will remain eligible until the transaction closes, subject to these terms and conditions.
If no Contract of Purchase and Sale is entered into within three months, the referral will expire.
Eligible Properties
The Friends & Family Referral Program applies to all properties being sold directly by Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community, including eligible homes, Villas, Lofts and lots.
Resale properties being sold by individual property owners do not qualify for the program.
Referral Payment
When an approved referral results in the successful purchase and closing of an eligible Pineridge Mountain property, the referrer will receive a referral payment equal to:
1% of the final purchase price before GST.
For example, a property with a purchase price of $800,000 before GST would result in an $8,000 referral payment.
The referral payment is earned only once the referred buyer's purchase has successfully closed.
If the purchase is cancelled, terminated or otherwise fails to close, no referral payment will be made.
Payment Timing
Pineridge Mountain will process the referral payment within 30 days following the successful closing of the property purchase.
The referrer may be required to provide Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community with information reasonably required to process the payment and meet applicable accounting or tax reporting requirements.
The referrer is responsible for any personal tax obligations that may result from receiving the referral payment.
Role of the Referrer
The Friends & Family Referral Program is intended to recognize genuine introductions made by people living at Pineridge Mountain to their friends and family.
The referrer's role is limited to making the introduction.
Referrers are not employees, representatives, agents or real estate professionals acting on behalf of Pineridge Mountain.
Referrers are not authorized to negotiate pricing or terms, provide real estate advice, prepare agreements, represent Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community or otherwise act on Pineridge Mountain's behalf in connection with a real estate transaction.
All property information, tours, pricing discussions, negotiations and purchase arrangements will be handled by Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community and its authorized sales representatives.
No Transfer or Assignment
A registered referral belongs to the eligible individual who submitted the referral and cannot be transferred or assigned to another person.
Privacy and Consent
The referrer must have permission from the person they are referring before providing their personal contact information to Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community.
Information collected through the referral program may be used to administer the program, contact the prospective buyer, support the sales process and communicate with the referrer about the status of their referral.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with Pineridge Mountain's applicable privacy practices and legal requirements.
Program Changes or Cancellation
Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community reserves the right to modify, suspend or end the Friends & Family Referral Program at any time.
Any eligible referral that was registered before the program was changed or ended will continue to be handled according to the program terms that were in effect when the referral was registered, unless otherwise required by law.
Program Eligibility and Decisions
Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community reserves the right to verify all referrals and determine whether a referral meets the requirements of the program.
Pineridge Mountain may decline a referral if it does not meet the program requirements or if duplicate, inaccurate, misleading or fraudulent information has been provided.
Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a referral, the referrer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Participation in the Friends & Family Referral Program does not automatically guarantee a referral payment. The payment is earned only when all program requirements have been met and the referred buyer successfully closes on an eligible Pineridge Mountain Recreation Community property.
