This year is especially meaningful as the RCL Windermere District #71 – Invermere Legion celebrates 100 years and the District of Invermere marks 75 years. Together, we’re celebrating community, history, and the people who make this region special.
The 2026 parade theme, “Canada Through the Decades,” invites participants to get creative, nostalgic, and festive. Choose your favourite era, build a float, dress in themed costumes, or showcase a unique piece of Canada’s story.
This celebration is open to everyone, and participants are encouraged to take part in a way that is respectful and inclusive of the diverse cultures and histories that shape Canada.
The parade route begins at Pothole Park, travels along 7th Avenue and 13th Street, and finishes at the Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena.
